Intrusion Detection Services

Telefónica's Advanced Network Intrusion Detection is a system that detects threats and preemptively responds. The goal of this service is to alert clients about unauthorized attempts to access firewall devices.

Telefónica offers Intrusion Detection services utilizing Internet Security Systems (ISS), Intrusion Detection Software (IDS) and Cisco IDS software. There are many configurations and choices for clients, each job will be quoted on a consultative basis.

An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) constantly monitors many devices (servers, router, firewalls, VPN appliances, etc.) for known attack patterns. If it detects one of such patterns, an alarm will be triggered (mail, pager, System Management Server (SMS), etc.).

Since IDS services can have very different configurations and deployment characteristics, each project will be quoted separately. Telefónica's Vulnerability Assessment consultative approach takes upon an accurate and extensive evaluation of existing systems before architecting the best solution for a client.
